Acting

YELLOWBELLYPHOTO - SALLY WIPPMAN-5.jpg

As an actor, I’ve been described as:

Dynamic ✶ Sensual ✶ Mischievous ✶ Playful ✶ Sparkly ✶ Sunshiney ✶ Generous of spirit

I thrive on connection with others. As a long-time student of various Meisner techniques, I’ve found that for me acting is (simply/profoundly) living truthfully in imaginary circumstances, while casting and receiving that invisible thread heart-to-heart, moment-to-moment. Life experience and my multi-hyphenate practice informs my craft in positive ways that allow me to connect more fully.

Goals & Inspirations

Current goals include: performing in a big-hearted musical, horse riding in a film or TV show (yes, I ride horses, too!), acting in a gritty new kitchen sink drama.

Inspirations: One of my biggest acting inspirations is Imelda Staunton for her grounded, open, and larger-than-life presence. Recently I have also really enjoy Jack Black for his freedom, Shiloh Coke for her recent performance in Coven which was one of the most embodied, somatically-sound performances I’ve ever witnessed, and Pippa Haywood who has guest starred in every single cozy crime and never fails to deliver a robust performance!
